FAQ
Questions, answered plainly
Short answers for the person making the call — usually a family member arranging a ride for someone else.
How far in advance should I book? ▾
At least 24–48 hours for routine trips, and further ahead for recurring appointments. We'll take same-day requests when we have a vehicle, but we can't promise one.
Do you take Medicaid? ▾
Medicaid rides are arranged through the state's transportation broker, not directly with us. See our Medicaid & Insurance page for exactly what to do.
How much does it cost? ▾
It depends on distance and the type of vehicle. Call and we'll quote the trip before you commit.
Can someone ride with me? ▾
Yes. Escorts are welcome and are sometimes required — for minors, for passengers under guardianship, and for anyone who needs supervision during the trip. Tell us when you book so we save a seat.
What if I use a cane or walker? ▾
Walkers, canes, and crutches come with you at no extra charge. Tell us what you use when you book so we're ready to meet you at the door.
Can I bring my service animal? ▾
Always, at no extra charge. We won't ask for documentation or a vest. Just tell us when you book so we can plan seating.
Will the driver help me to the door? ▾
Yes. Door-to-door assistance is standard. Our drivers help you from your door to the vehicle and from the vehicle to the entrance at the other end. They do not enter homes past the threshold, lift or carry passengers, or stay with you at your destination.
What if my appointment runs long? ▾
Call us when you're ready and we'll come back. Return times are estimates and depend on what else is on the road.
What happens if I need to cancel? ▾
Call as early as you can. Late cancellations and no-shows may be charged — we'll tell you the window when we confirm your trip.
Are you an ambulance? ▾
No. We transport people who are medically stable and don't need care during the trip. For a medical emergency, call 911.
How is my medical information protected? ▾
We follow HIPAA. Our drivers and staff sign confidentiality agreements, train annually, and face documented consequences for violations. We never post passenger photos or stories. See our Privacy Policy and Notice of Privacy Practices.
Can I request a specific driver? ▾
Ask. We'll accommodate it when scheduling allows, and it's a reasonable thing to want.
